Educating is a triangle.
Three corners. Three tensions.
- Effectiveness. Did they actually learn?
- Expediency. Did we use the time well?
- Engagement. Did they care enough to lean in?

Tip too far toward expediency and you lose them.
Tip too far toward engagement and you run out of time.
Tip too far toward either and effectiveness collapses.
I have tipped it myself.
A rushed section, efficient but dead on arrival.
An overlong activity, fun but at the cost of everything else.
The triangle reminds me: education lives in the middle.
Balance the three and the lesson holds.
Ignore one and the whole thing falls apart.
